The COVID-19 pandemic is seen to have been fueling widespread violations of women’s rights with increasing cases of domestic violence and other forms of gender-based violence (GBV) around the world. Worse, the increase is accompanied by a widening “justice gap” that falls short in responding to the rights and needs of survivors.

The International Development Law Organization – IDLO will delve into this issue through the Gender-based Violence and COVID-19: Emerging Solutions in Justice Programming Webinar this Tuesday, 30 June 2020, 8:00 – 9:30 PM Philippine time.

Minority Leader Atty. Laisa Masuhud Alamia will join the discussion along with global and national experts to explore entry points and emerging solutions available to ensure access to justice for GBV survivors.
