The struggle for peace is a lifelong struggle for the Bangsamoro people. As we continue the work necessary for our political transition, we also continue the necessary work to nurture the peace we have won through our people’s revolutionary and parliamentary struggle.

As we commemorate the International Day of Peace, we are reminded of how the life of every Bangsamoro has shifted and changed with the course of our nation’s history and our collective desire for a better lifenin our communities. Today, we confront the many ways our people have fought to realize their highest aspirations for peace and justice.

We in the Bangsamoro know that working on peace in the present while making peace with the past is essential to building a just future. As we begin a new chapter in the Bangsamoro’s political transition, may we continue the difficult but necessary work of peace and reconciliation while upholding the rights of all.
